In a strategic drive to revitalise their endorsed education provider programme, the International Institute in Business Analysis (IIBA) has appointed South Africa based Business Change Academy as a core member of its Endorsed Education Provider (EEP) Advisory Board to provide insights and recommendations that will help shape future direction.
The revitalization initiative, from which the IIBA draws on rich global business analysis leadership, has mandated the Advisory Board to provide innovative solutions towards developing a more valuable EEP framework. The goal is to ultimately support the professional development of business analyst’s worldwide, through competency-based learning approaches, by actively engaging Endorsed Education Providers.
“We are both thrilled and honoured that the IIBA has asked us to play an active part in executing their strategy, one that brings together the agenda of influencing global business analyst professional development tactics that enable growth opportunities for all,” says Joe Newbert, MD of Business Change Academy.
The IIBA appoint Business Change Academy to advisory board on a history of strong synergy between the two organisations, with Joe having been a core member of the business analysis competency model development team as well as serving as a Non-Executive Director on the IIBA-SA board, and as such the collaboration is well poised to further the business analyst profession globally and reinvigorate the IIBA EEP initiative with fresh perspectives.
The EEP programme has two main objectives.
- It firstly enables the business analyst community to easily identify endorsed education providers and their endorsed training courses, as being aligned to the global standard for business analysis a Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK® Guide).
- Secondly, it provides a licensing mechanism to such education providers to properly use IIBA intellectual property including trademarks and BABOK® Guide content.
In further support of these objectives, Business Change Academy’s training philosophy is focused on building real-world analysis skills and, as a committed EEP, their IIBA Endorsed courses have been carefully designed to provide rich and immersive training experiences in full alignment with the BABOK.
Taking into consideration the diversity of specialisations in the profession, the International Diploma in Business Analysis is crafted in such a way that it encourages business analysts to choose modules relevant to their role and develop their careers in a way that suits their unique personal aspirations.
